Wednesday is Ash Wednesday, the beginning of the Lenten season. I've been thinking about the Lenten observation that I will make this year. It seems like such a small thing. As we mature to adulthood it seems there is very little we deny ourselves - at least for me this is true. And so - I've decided on a sacrifice and a promise.
1. For the season of Lent I will not snack after 8:00 PM. I can eat dinner after 8:00, but no snacking.
2. Each day I will set aside 15 minutes for devotion to Mary.
3. At least once each week I will pray the rosary.
What are you planning to offer to God for Lent?
From today's Gospel:
And they came, bringing to him a paralytic carried by four men. And when they could not get near him because of the crowd, they removed the roof above him; and when they had made an opening, they let down the pallet on which the paralytic lay. And when Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, “My son, your sins are forgiven.”

Lord, we need Your healing. Help us to use whatever means necessary to attain it.
