After the kids left, I slept, almost all afternoon. Joe provided a late dinner - he went to Frisch's and brought it home for us. Happy Valentine's Day!

A Weird Valentine's Day
Ty and Leah spent Friday night with us. We weren't sure it was going to happen because, for the past week, a stomach virus has been making its way through their family. All were cured, so Mom and Dad went on a date for Valentine's day. I had recorded an old (1965) movie - "That Darn Cat!" - and we watched that. The kids really enjoyed it - actually watched it about 3 times between Friday night and Saturday afternoon. Friday night Leah and I baked a heart shaped cake for Valentine's day. Saturday we took them to Tyler's basketball game, and the kids returned home with us so Julie could get her hair cut. As Julie was preparing to bring the kids home, we snapped this picture of Leah and the cake. Before she made it out the door, about 5 minutes after this picture was taken, Leah puked all over my kitchen floor. Anyway - it's a lovely picture, and the cake was delicious.
