Julie shared this with me today. She and Leah were having a discussion about some personal quality they lacked - like we'll never be super skinny people. And Leah made this comment: "But we'll always be Rita Girls, right Mom?" She said "You're so right." :-)

ReplyDeleteYou know, I am so sad my grandchildren will never really know Mom. I guess I have a lot to live up to and alot to pass along. Those are huge shoes to fill.

Funny story to add. In the lat few months I was looking for something and came across a stack of index cards. They were the cards that each member of our family's jotted down what they were most thankful for - from Thanksgiving at Susan's a few years back. I most remember Laurens and our response to it.... she was Thankful for being included as a "Perzel Woman". We knew what that meant. Carolyn
